Dr. Paul Thigpen is an internationally known speaker, award-winning journalist, and best-selling author of sixty books, including the Manual for Spiritual Warfare, The Life of Saint Joseph as Seen by the Mystics, and The Rapture Trap: A Catholic Response to End-Times Fever. His work has been circulated worldwide and translated into sixteen languages.
Paul was educated at Yale and Emory Universities, earning a Ph.D. in historical theology. He was appointed to a term on the National Advisory Council of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and has served the Church as a university theology professor, historian, apologist, evangelist, catechist, and musician.
Formerly an ordained Protestant pastor, Paul entered the Catholic Church in 1993 with his wife, Leisa, and their two children. They will celebrate their forty-fifth wedding anniversary this summer and are enjoying their six grandchildren.
